Former Employee My role was 100% commission based with no base salary. It was theoretically unlimited compensation, but they constantly changed how you were comped and leadership was very disjointed on strategy. It used to be that AEs were left alone to hunt on their own, but that changed with a lot more oversight, micro managing, and pulling products (like Microsoft agreements) from comp in exchange for a tiny base salary. This is why I left.
