Great company, a perfectible product (US has all the features, not the other countries), and a good culture, but it's hard to sell in EMEA (there are a lot of competitors already established for a long time, and Samsara isn't well-known yet).

SMB sales at Samsara is meh. Some reps really kill it. But its pretty much all over the place. Its spray and pray 10x. No real strategy. Also tons of cold calls. Probably 85% OB. Not fun. Lot of people quitting. I think MM or ENT is a better fit for PMF. Samsara is just too expensive for SMB purposes.

Most reps are not hitting quotas, a lot nepotism and favoritism. The ones who are, are getting leads funneled to them or have a loophole like insurance partnerships to exploit. For example canceled and churned customers are resigned and encouraged for certain people, but if another rep does it, you will be reprimanded. have to discount to get any deal done, basically an adr that closes. tons of customer complaints that take up lots of your day. toxic environment where people try to ruin your deals. complete cold calling shop that is super transactional
