Current Employee Samsara knows that they have the best product in the market. They also know everyone wants to work here. Therefore they can hire MANY reps, and pay them MUCH less up front as these seats will always be filled. Base is HIGHLY underpaid. In all fairness, the Comp Accelerator Plan is very generous once over 100%. If you're selling, you're BANKING. However, the 80% that don't hit quota is much higher than the 20% that blow quota out. Therefore there is high turnover. People use Samsara as a name to get into the industry, and then quickly leave for a $50k+ pay raise instantly.
The ADR and Commercial Account Executive roles are the worst jobs in the company. AE role is great if know how to manage your time. Exec team (up high) is GREAT (CEOs/etc.). When you scale down to team level, things change it. It all depends on who your manager is. Some will be blessed, and some will be cursed. Do you job, and keep your head down. It's a political war inside of Samsara. The CEO's and executive team prob have no idea of this, so they aren't to blame. Browse Other Reviews
