We haven't found that to be true. SMB reps typically start at $84,000-$89,000 CAD OTE on a 70/30 split.

After letting go of the lower performers, Shopify hired more SMB reps with an OTE of $110,000 on that split

Yes, very hard. They let go top-performers and re-hire in lower paid regions. Try to stay away from Shopify. From one day to another, the CRO decided to cut base salaries by 20%

We laid off all the consistent underperformers. People were either already on a PIP or haven't been performing to Shopify's ridiculuous standards quarter over quarter. Everyone else has just been sacrificing their mental health, family time, and overall well-being.

Yes very hard....top performers were let go cuz they were too expensensive. They are re-hiring for the same Positions with less base salary
