Current Employee My experience at Shopify has been solid so far. I got a bit lucky though , I landed on a team of down to earth reps and a manager who gets the highs and lows of sales. It’s a safe environment—whether you’re missing the mark or crushing it.
My best advice? Focus on personal branding. It’s what separates reps—aside from just hitting target. I’ve seen people get let go after a slow start and a missed quota. But the ones who had built a strong brand for themselves often stuck around, and eventually found their rhythm.
I adopted this method of making connections and have been thriving and made genuine relationships with people I now consider friends. I’ve been at other companies, and this isn’t a heads-down, sink-or-swim sales org. The collaboration is real, and you can take it as far as you want—it just starts with a few (maybe awkward) coffee chats. But it’s worth it. Browse Other Reviews
