Sales org expanded quickly to capitalize on a pseudo-acquisition with a large inbound funnel in 2023. 2024 followed with a move to outbound BD and saw a huge disconnected between predicted business and what was actually available. During this year there was a revolving door of reps and Sales Managers, leading to a breakdown of what was once considered a top-tier sales culture. To their credit, Shopify offered lots of professional development during this time

Still many product challenges upmarket; aggressive quotas that don't align to the opportunity within territory. Amazing, intelligent people that you work with, but it's increasingly hard to be successful.
