The GTM is improving slowly, but it's still a massive drag to navigate successfully. Selling a deal to Stripe is harder than selling Stripe to users.

Switch from lifecycle AEs to hunter grower model skews heavily toward success for growers. Enterprise Hunter AEs are not well positioned given Stripe's limitation in the enterprise space.

My overall experience has been good. The usage based model of the product and company present its own challenges when it comes to compensation. Sometime luck is a big factor as it relates to performance. The product and brand are highly revered and well-known. Overall a great sales role.

Beware top performers. The Stripe comp plan is horrible if you usually blow out your number. If you’re a mediocre, career 80%-to-goal rep, you’ll love it here. Percentage of AEs that hit 70%-90% quota attainment: ~80% Percentage of AEs that overachieve quota: < 1%
