For AE’s in the right segment or territory there are opportunities to be successful but that’s only 30% of AEs. AEs closing deals face challenges around potential clawbacks because of significant implementation and ramping issues which negates their variable compensation. There is a change (at least annually) of focus and direction from leadership around ideal customer profile. Departments supporting sales (ie Implementation, Compliance) are overwhelmed/undertrained/not experienced/etc which leads to poor client experiences post sales and impacts ramping = variable comp.

not great. its all territory based - if you're in a good territory, you'll be fine. if you're not, then i'd look for a new job right away.

Get your options vested and leave. They expect partners to refer consistently without ever giving anything back.. Marketing and org alignment is disjointed. Hopefully the new CSO brings about a lot of changes.
