Current Employee Onboarding is a joke, good luck starting off in the retail role without losing your mind. Comp structure was not truthfully explained going into the role, and they cut territories in 1/3 less than a year into the role. Outside of reps who had lots of inbounds when their territories were multiple states, very few are hitting targets. Salesforce, customer data, systems are so poorly designed that it makes doing your day job a nightmare. I spend more time fixing Docusign fuck ups and raw data inputting than I do selling. Toast is awesome for restaurants, they’re having a tough time figuring out retail. Product gaps and being twice as expensive as square, while doing less and having 2y contracts(compared to month-to-month agreements), is making it really hard to sell, while managers are claiming we aren’t selling value makes it a ticking time bomb for a lot of reps. You can speak up, you’ll be heard, but not listened to. It’s unfortunate because the reason I to joined this was due to all of the sales reps who have been here for 5+ years, but I don’t see the ability to do that in this role unfortunately.
