It’s always going to come down to the team you’re on. Our manager went on maternity leave for 8 months last year, and is going again this year, and has failed to adapt to the company changes, and leading from the front since they are going to be gone again.

There is definitely opportunity there, but it is a significant grind. It never stops. Very empathic people or people that deeply care, especially about customers, may find that the culture is simply to consumptive, driven to sell more, with very little focus on customer problems, concerns, or general well-being. Toast has several different divisions that might as well be different companies when it comes to the sales org. The growth teams quota is way higher than the average rep is achieving.
