Current Employee I worked as a Sales Rep for Verkada in London, covering the European market. My experience was, unfortunately, deeply disappointing. The management was shockingly inexperienced — often individuals with only 1-2 years in sales and zero leadership background — yet somehow tasked with mentoring and leading teams. The company is plagued by excessive micromanagement and an unstable, unclear go-to-market strategy that changes constantly.
Internal politics dominate the culture, where recognition goes to those who play the game, not those who deliver results. Targets were incoherent and often completely unattainable, with almost no consideration for local market realities. As a result, across all markets, barely three people consistently hit quota — that says everything.
