Former Employee The product is great but the opportunity for success is determined by market. There are markets where there is market-readiness, product-market fit, greater marketing presence, channel representation, etc. If those are lacking in a market/geography, it will be tough to have success. During the interview process, it is communicated that it takes 9-12 months to ramp as the sales cycles are lengthy. However, they are quick to terminate for lack of performance within 12 months. The organization was quick to hire and expand an enterprise sales force without fully vetting whether or not markets could sustain an enterprise quota (young, inexperienced executive sales leadership). Some reps came into a book of business while others had complete greenfield and the quotas were the same and not prescriptive based on market opportunity.
