Got offered the account manager role smb vip. Are folks on this team doing well? Hitting quota? Getting promoted? My manager seems awesome. Some of the reviews here have me a bit worried that the best roles are in the enterprise and mid market segment.

Trust me when I tell you this (and I can’t lay it on thick enough): ZoomInfo will be the worst job you’ve ever had. I can promise you that. That said, I hear SMB VIP is actually the only segment of SMB that’s actually decent.

As someone who was a AM on SMB-VIP at Zoominfo, your assessment is spot on. VIP is NOT doing well at all, their management is flailing. The only good AM roles are up-market.  Zoominfo is not doing well in SMB space.

The SMB segment in general is not doing well at all. ZoomInfo is placing all their resources in upmarket growth, such as their ENT - VIP and Strat teams.

I have no idea who answered this already but SMBVIP is regularly hitting and exceeding metrics and quota's. I would ask your Director for details if you are worried about it, have them give you specifics and dont listen to someone who seems like they have an axe to grind or doesnt know the business.

You definitely want to be MM or enterprise. I work at zoom info. Once you get put in SMB it’s super hard to move around as the training course would be completely different. So you can need to actually get hired for mm or enterprise out the gate. Most smb can hardly afford zoominfo let all alone the

I would stay far far away from any SMB segment at Zoominfo. Customers are over promised and under sold constantly. Zoominfo isn’t a fit in that space based on both general use case and price point. MM and ENT is where you want to be.
