Current Employee Darktrace is the place to work if you always dreamed of experiencing what it would be like to be in the Hunger Games.
Prior to acquisition DT over hired to make the purchase more lucrative, giving new owners, Thoma Bravo, the option to cut if profits aren't what they want each quarter. They also cut our territories up like a jigsaw puzzle, when half the number of reps could easily cover the same geo.
The way they choose to cut is based off a random metric that you can easily sandbag/make up (encouraging people to lie) that is compared against your Team. This leads to an environment where everyone on your Team is happy to see you fail, because it means they won't get canned.
What's the key to success at Darktrace? Get lucky a few quarters in a row, watch your peers fail and inherit their book of business. This will keep you afloat at least for a quarter, until all that's forgotten and your neck's on the line once again.
