Current Employee In my personal opinion, Semrush was one of the most chaotic and demoralizing workplaces I’ve ever experienced. It presents a polished image, but inside, it felt like constant disorder — shifting priorities, unclear direction, and leadership that created more confusion than clarity. Every day felt like reacting to panic instead of following any real strategy.
The culture, in my view, operated on instability. Nothing stayed consistent, communication felt scattered, and the environment seemed fueled by fabricated urgency and ego rather than competence. It was draining, not motivating.
The revolving door of sales reps was impossible to ignore. Turnover felt nonstop, and onboarding support was, in my opinion, basically nonexistent. New hires were dropped into chaos with no guidance, no structure, and no real help — just pressure.
As for Mid-Market "leadership", my personal experience was that it was the most draining and demoralizing group I’ve ever reported into. The leadership style felt driven by fear and threats, not competence or clarity. It created an atmosphere where people didn’t develop — they just tried to survive.
In my view, Semrush is not a stable or supportive place to build a career. The mental toll far outweighed any benefit. Would NOT recommend Browse Other Reviews
