How hard is it to hit Quota at 1password in an SMB or MM role? I see that the decelerators are pretty aggressive and if you miss quota you essentially don't make commission, is that true?

It's easier to hit target at SMB as it's an SMB product. MM is really tough and quota attainment is trash. Only 3/20 hit target.The commission is horrible and even if you're a solid seller(45k+ per month)you make a close to no commission. I would not recommend if you don't want to put in long hours

I’m an AM in MM. For Q1 2024, 1/20 reps hit their quota and maybe 2/20 will hit Q2… Decelerators are terrible, so almost no commission. If you are lucky to hit accelerators, they’re good.

SMB is in a much better spot in 2024, but had a terrible 2023.

Depends on new business or existing, existing MM is not hitting quota and have struggled for quite some time. SMB (existing business) is hitting quota but there was a time that they were missing consistently, can be touch and go. If you do not hit quota, your decelerators are very aggressive and you make very little to no commission.

It's fairly hard to hit target across the board lately. For a while SMB was thriving, and it was a bit harder for MM (for both existing and new business) but now all teams are struggling to hit and pressure from leadership is increasing. PIPs are being threatened or given out, but it seems to be a team/company problem and not individual based so it's hard to say how this will go.

Very few people hit quota. The payment structure is the most unmotivating part. When you hit 60 % you get only 2.9 percent commission. If you hit less than that you get 2.4 percent. Majority  don’t hit 60 %  so you are pretty much working only for your salary. This is why people are leaving.

Impossible. The only part of the company hitting quota is SMB. If you’re looking to make money, this ain’t the place.
