My overall experience was average. It does have its good and bad as does every company. Pain points were that you are only a number in amazon. And there is no sense of protection, sure your work is valued but not valued enough to even think about giving you a pay raise. If you don't care about incentives or commissions amazon is good for those who are wanting to stay with the company 10+ years.

Amazon pays you a base pay then the rest of your compensation is in stock. So your W2 at the end of year says you made whatever your base was and stock was for the year. But you really only made whatever your base pay was. You are taxed on your stock and if you cash out stock, you are taxed on it again.
