Amazon Business is a procurement focused initiative. Upside you have the Amazon name behind you and that gets you a leg up when dealing with clients. Downside: Base salary and overall compensation is particularly low. Promotions are extremely hard to attain regardless of performance. Office politics and taking on as much extra projects is necessary if you want to get it.

Overall my experience was average, the organization did not move to variable compensation even after 3 years of promising it. This is a big miss to incentivize sales people and led to excessive focus KPI versus real performance of increasing revenue.

The Customer Advisor/AE role offers no bonus incentive and a low base salary. Compensation is front loaded with a “signing” to make up for the lack of RSU vesting. Recruiters mislead candidates on the promotion requirements. Return to office requirements for employees who were hired as remote are now a compensation loss.
