Overall I had a great experience at AWS. The org I was in had a great culture and the sales teams were very talented and supportive. I enjoyed everyone I worked with and the variety of companies you interact with week to week.

The culture has been pretty solid. Most people are happy but it's manager dependent. One thing I'm not a fan of is the promotion process. You have to write a document to justify your promotion and have others write for you as well then have it reviewed. It's pretty awkward and humiliating

Deal size and length can vary a lot depending on your role within AWS. By the nature of how the business works (closer to a utility than a normal SaaS tech company) you aren't "closing" deals left and right. Moreso coaching accounts that already have existing spend to grow strategically.
