Former Employee By far the worst culture of any company I’ve worked for. They spend a lot of time and money on lip service around employee support and development, and the company’s leadership principles which are more cult like than a real guiding force, than they do on actually developing employees and assigning realistic goals around reality based account information. When a company gives most sales people in an org a universal growth number every year, any sales person with business sense will tell you whoever came up with that number has zero clue about what the different account bases will generate. AWS is truly a numbers company and could care less about their employees. There’s a reason the average texture of an account manager is less than two years. Fun fact, 95% of employee stock is paid out after year two. Most people don’t make it to year two. You think that’s a coincidence? RepVUE says the average sales tenure at AWS is 4.5 years, nope. That includes management tenure who are the ones pushing the unattainable numbers. If you don’t hit them or express concern over the unrealistic quota, say hello to a PIP followed by a firing.
