AWS has great technology, strong enablement and smart people. The culture, however, has changed for the worse. The Leadership Principles are often weaponised or ignored, and the threat of retrenchment is ever present.

Customers trust the AWS brand and working in greenfield enterprise was exciting and rewarding. However, AWS is going through a transformation in it's culture, which is moving away from their peculiar nature and morphing into a metrics based org. Salaries have remained stagnant in the last 2-3 years.
