Former Employee My experience was generally positive, AWS is great at finding the work you love and giving you more of that work than you can imagine. As you would expect that is a double edged sword at 45 years old I can honestly say I’ve never worked this hard, this much, felt so much pressure or missed so much personal life. You will work harder and longer but the pay will not match up, the way the comp actually works you can end up making less the longer you are there because 1/2 of your comp after two years is tied to the stock and RSU’s. They sell employees on the brand, and take full advantage of this, they know what they are doing.
