Go-to-market strategy is focussed on encouraging customers to build their own solutions on the platform and the product is premium priced. Most multipliers from last year’s comp plan were eliminated or dramatically reduced with no comparable incentives added. Back testing comp showed 20-45% reductions in total comp for AEs after quota increases were factored. SDRs & Corporate AEs similarly impacted.

Selling Appian is challenging. But it is a good product and delivers significant value for customers. Customers are generally very happy.
