Curious if anyone here has or works on the heavy equipment or transportation side as an AE? What is your experience and would you recommend the role if it became available?

I would not recommend this.  They monkey around with the $'s (fairly normal in SaaS but also %'s of your compensation. UNder the 2024 and 2025 comp plans, they now control not only the annual quota number, but they also control another quota number (think  transaction versus software) and the ratio, which is used to hold back or pay any accelerated commissions (it is binary, hit it or lose all of it).  If you don't hit the other number, you lose ALL of your accelerated payouts you have achieved.  Also, they are way over-hiring in these 2 verticals.  Transportation is not big enough as a segment for 5 new logo reps.  Equipment may be slightly different and able to hold more reps since it expands into all sorts of different equipment segments.  The culture is also an issue.  The leader of these sales teams has specifically created an environment where 8-9  leaders recently resigned in favor of different companies, specifically because of terrible leadership directly influencing these two teams.  Top President's Club achievers are leaving the company after hitting P-Club for many consecutive years.  I left recently after in excess of 5 years as a PClub achiever because the specific person running the vertical and enterprise teams is toxic. Between her poor leadership abilities, the lack of a college degree (and it shows), the poor compensation plans (managed by private equity), and the over-hiring of too many reps for some territories, I'd stay away.  There are better options in the marketplace.
