Cloudera has been a great company to work for so far. I’m a year in and the leadership is supportive and incentivizes the right revenue driving behaviors. The only improvement I think that needs to be made is concentrating on outbound new logo prospecting and doing a better job of getting our strong hybrid cloud messaging into the market. Overall, I would recommend working at Cloudera, especially because of the people.

My overall experience was positive. The product needs major updates and the customers are willing to provide feedback. Once the product is updated to a more modern tech stack, it will be a great place to work again.

Changes made upon going private, including eliminating RSUs and not paying them out to field employees really impacted morale and caused a number of good people to leave. It was once a great place to work.
