Confluent was a great place to sell until the Oracle Direct crew ascended into power and the cronyism went rampant. High quality and experienced leaders still exist in the regulated/financial services space, but top-down you can expect an Oracle like culture.

Lack of headcount for AE roles means little to no SDR to AE promotions. SDR management/Leadership has changed drastically and often in the past 2 years. No proven method of success. Massive rebuild/restructure over last two years. Growing pains of a company going from 1.5k to 3k employees. Confluent is headed in the right direction. We had a lot of shifts internal which caused a lot of client frustrations. Not a lot of inbound oops but if you find the right account you can easily close the year at over 100%. It really does matter on the territory and the growth opportunities in your accounts.
