Current Employee I’ve been with Datadog for 2.5 years, and while the product is undoubtedly top-tier and the R&D investment is strong, the internal culture is incredibly toxic. Fewer than 15% of reps consistently hit quota, which reflects unrealistic expectations and a lack of proper support. On top of that, the base salary and OTE are noticeably lower than what you’ll find at comparable companies in the industry.
The management style is immature — there are far too many bosses and not enough real leaders. The company seems more interested in growing its product than in developing its people. If you’re looking for a place where you can thrive and be valued, I strongly recommend considering other SaaS companies that offer better compensation and a healthier, more supportive environment.
