Former Employee I had a good run over a 12 year period, I made my number about half of the time which isn't bad considering how they manipulate the pay plan, the goals, the pay mix, and everything else. They are hurting right now since so many customers have migrated workloads to the cloud and they do not have a cloud offering, plus are mostly a hardware company. The integration of EMC has been a disaster and is still not done after nearly 7 years. Management is clueless about what customers really want, and they do not listen to their salespeople or engineers. Dell does not innovate, and they are never first to market with any trend. I am not even sure Michael's heart is fully in it anymore, because of the various things done over the last few years leaving him with majority ownership in both Dell and VMware. I get the feeling he wants to walk away soon and just give away his money which would be a good thing for him to do. Because things are not going well, the pressure is on and management is micromanaging even more. If I were there, I'd most certainly want to leave.
