With the recent volatility on stock price, AI competition, and lowered forecast news - is there any concerns for downsizing of sales teams?

Any areas that are of particular concern (outside of federal for obvious reasons)?

Pretty much all areas are struggling to come even close to their numbers - the “growth” has mostly come from annual increases of multi-year contracts as opposed to selling new licenses. Client budgets are tighter and it’s tough to sell multiple licenses into a company any more.

I don’t know if downsizing is in play, but the churn rate could defintely increase. They have people ready to go to take your place if you’re not performing and they may be less accepting of slow periods due to stock price and forecasting

Absolutely a concern across all products and geographies. I think the largest concern is that we are trying to optimize our way out of trouble and not transform.

If you have other options, I would stay clear   The pressure is immense & from the top down its extremely tone deaf to what the market & clients are telling us.  They pass plans out like Halloween candy & it doesn’t matter if you’re 10 yrs in or 10 months you will be on the block.

Anecdotally, most business units are struggling with only large enterprise seeming to have any measurable wins. I've been with Gartner for years and this is the toughest selling environment we've been in.

Leadership seems to resort to PIP and fire any performers based on short term performance.  Candidly, I'd avoid unless you're a new college grad - tenured sellers beware.

Yes. As a former longtime sales rep, the territories get smaller every year and there is limited innovation in product. Unsustainable which is why there have been multiple layoff rounds in past year
