Account management position. Focus is on retention and trying to grow the existing client base. Clients are small emerging clients in tech so get to work with C-level executives to understand key priorities and initiatives. Challenge is around selling research and insights, versus a tangible product and time clients have to dedicate to reviewing research and scheduling inquiries to get value from engagement. Do feel that leaderships expectations within this region are unrealistic as it relates to growth, given this is a retention focused position. Has created a poor culture within this region and have seen more turnover recently due to this. Could be a really good role if expectations were adjusted. Little to no coaching, managing until team is not selling then flips to micromanaging.
