There’s a few people in GBS who are really great at what they do, most other people scrape by. There’s a change of leadership right at the top but most middle management (VPs and Sales Managers) have been in their roles for a long time. GBS don’t hire Managers (and upwards) externally - this means you have leadership that know the product and company very well, but they also can think very Gartner specific and be resistant to outside ideas.

Globally recognized academy training program. High earning potential. Extensive breadth of coverage, including over 2000+ subject matter experts. Internal competition for deals (overlaps between stakeholders and initiatives) could introduce challenges.

Been here 5 years now. Definitely challenging but I believe it’s still a good place to be and there’s money to still be made.
