Disappointing. Gartner is a research company who specializes in technology insights, but fails to actually be at the forefront of technology (specifically AI). Your success is largely based on the territory you have - if you have a big account cancel, you won't hit your number and won't have an option to be promoted for two years. The territories are getting smaller, and they are transitioning to a SaaS-sales methodology, which doesn't translate with the products they offer.

I think success at Gartner, like others have mentioned, is dependent on manager and territory.

My overall experience was terrible. There is essentially no onboarding, I basically didn't have a manager and half my territory in in the Artic Circle.
