Great org and training for those new to sales or early career placed in an AE role. Conversely, the more experience you have, likely the more difficult you’ll find it in terms of culty politics and lack of autonomy. Keep in mind your job is to connect CXOs to resources and value prop intangible ROI. You’re not the product expert, go-to guru, or running demos. You’re selling a “connect the dots” service/access vs the service itself and making less than market avg. Gartner is great for young reps planning to stay long-term. The name will help build your resume, however if you’re looking to tap into SaaS later for example, the Gartner way/sales processes + selling an intangible product + being siloed to 1 industry won’t add to your competitive edge.
