Gartner itself is a great company with a proven value offering to its clients. The compensation is very competitive and it’s fun when you help your clients. However, the pressure to sell at all costs diminishes the company’s reputation and disenfranchises its reps.

My overall experience was dependent on the business unit. I was in during my time there. Your book of business plays significant role in the how successfully you'll be. Some managers are more helpful than others. Some people do super well because all their accounts happen to be happy/or naturally have bigger budgets. If you have one or two accounts that don’t want to renew you might not hit quota.
