MSE-You’ll be verticalized to an industry and have 300ish accounts with maybe 40 of them viable. All accounts will be spammed with outbound over the last 5 years. Management is littered with young managers (26-31), managers who were C players as reps, and above them are so many useless lines of ‘VPs’. Essentially you are a rep whose managed by a micromanager whose operating style is between a rep and manager who is then managed by a ‘vp’ whose really just the sales managers manager and makes sure they’re micromanaging you correctly. Pricing is horrific and you don’t have liberty in discounts. Your manager controls the pricing of your deals. Single seat access and you’re positioning a license anywhere from 60k-155k. You you will be pressured to try an make everything a big deal so your pipeline will be full of 100k+ long shots because they want to see you “run the process” and not candidly qualify prospects in or out. 98% of your prospects will be with someone who isn’t willing to justify the investment or flat out get told no by their CFO because nobody wants to buy a single seat license at 155k for market research.
