I noticed there are a lot of positive reviews on the main page, but they don’t seem to match the ones on the Q&A page. Are new hires asked to write reviews, or is leadership posting their own praise?

Likely a mixture. One dead giveaway of astroturfing:  you'll notice many recent 4.5- 5 star one-sentence reviews that don't have the verification check mark. These are likely managers / leaders battling to push HubSpot's Repvue ratings back up.

HubSpot wants more sellers and one thing leadership knows is that RepVue is a valuable tool. So they will pop in and leave positive reviews to help fix the score.

They’re down like 12 points over the last 2 years. It’s not great and won’t be great, just a SF sales culture with orange paint

I wouldn’t say they are asked to leave good reviews but it’s very likely management trying to paint a positive picture. The attrition rate in 2024 was abysmal so they need people to stay and are looking to hire more reps (even though quota is already unattainable).

It's always a challenge to determine what's the actual sentiment within a company based on anon reviews. Motivations are either a negative experience or a response to low ratings (mangers), both of which are heavily biased. The Q&A page is great since it demands more detail and allows others to comment (calling out BS).

Definitely a match back and forth between real reviews and internal representatives trying to combat it. Notice that every time an in-depth and very sincere negative review happens...its followed by a bunch of 1 sentence "HubSpot is glorious" type stuff. Looks like HubSpot has also worked with RepVue to push positive stuff to the top of the page.

Q&A is much  more accurate.

Attrition is high and HubSpot and you'll notice a trend of how long sales folks have been there. A slew of 2.5 years and under and then a lot over 6-7 years. It is a grind and the tenured reps have a book of biz they can continue to farm/lean on where new reps have a ton of greenfield or SFDC competes (notoriously harder to penetrate). Lots of tribal knowledge around when and how to grab new leads with specific filters in the CRM - helps make or break your month and quarter.

I remember leadership speaking about RepVu - that’s how i discovered it. They never asked me to leave a review though.
