My experience at HubSpot was so bad that I almost removed it from my resume. On nearly every level, this sales org is dysfunctional. Do not let the sudden positive reviews fool you. They do not reflect reality. The only good thing is the product. HubSpot is easy to use, but once you sell outside of SaaS or into industries with real complexity, it falls short fast. Everything else is a problem. You're a glorified BDR with an AE title. You generate one hundred percent of your pipeline, run full cycles, and manage a book of five hundred accounts. There's also almost no inbound and the few inbound leads you get are from people trying to use HubSpot for free. The good accounts are hoarded by tenured reps, so everyone else is left with tiny businesses that will never buy. The micromanagement is extreme. I often logged off at 3am and dealt with daily anxiety from activity expectations and constant performance threats. The culture is unhelpful and training is surface level at best. Deal splits also force new reps to give away half their credit on deals they sourced themselves. This place made me hate sales. Join anywhere else
