Is taking PTO frowned upon even if you hit metrics and quota?

We understand that team members have lives, families, and hobbies outside of work, and therefore offer team members a generous PTO policy to ensure they avoid burnout. To further support work-life balance, employees are encouraged to add their work hours to their calendars and block out time for personal needs. We understand we can't be at our best if our team isn't at theirs.

Motive Sales Ops here. PTO is definitely not frowned upon, and we do have an unlimited PTO policy. Ownership is one of our core principles, and part of this is empowering people to manage their time and deliver results. Our culture is very transparent about valuing employees health and wellness, and supporting people however we can so that they can to do their best work at Motive.

Very frowned upon in the MM segment. The CRO and VP run it like a daycare center managing toddlers where they require FLM’s host multiple daily stand ups with reps regardless of attainment. The CRO stated that you should be grateful the company gives you a salary so you need to be present to earn it

Unfortunately yes. The SDR team was one thing but the AE's, definitely don't think about PTO.

Yes, “unlimited” pto but the culture is hustle and grind. Respond to emails and “deal updates” at all hours.

Everything below is valid; however, if you're a top performer you can always bend the rules to your liking. I took PTO multiple times but was a top rep during my tenure.

I can only speak for the SDR team but if you are hitting quota and have future pipeline you can take off as much as you want. There were some senior reps that had very consistent pipeline on the team Id rarely see work Fridays and took regular time off for traveling.
