Question

On Glassdoor there’s a scathing review which mentions:
—how tough it is being a Woman in Sales at Motive
—illusion of doubling ENT Customers
—Multiple layoffs
—Copying Samsara 
—over promising
—etc

I’m familiar with the industry (I know Samsara) how true are these claims?

Kate Woelffer here! We appreciate you taking the time to leave your comments and questions below. As the VP of Strategic Enterprise Sales at Motive, I’d personally like to address some of your concerns based on my own experiences.

Motive is an organization that operates with an owner’s mentality - not only in sales, but across all areas of the business. For someone who’s a high-performing salesperson, regardless of gender, that’s the type of environment you want to be in (and a big reason why I chose to come to Motive.)

As a leader, I take my responsibility of fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace very seriously. While we understand that there is work to do to improve representation on our teams, I can proudly say we’ve made significant progress. This year, more than 50% of our new leadership hires across both Strategic and Enterprise Sales are women, as well as 50% of new AE hires in Strategic Sales.

With respect to information about the Samsara claims, please visit https://www.truthandsafety.com/. Our customers continue to choose Motive because our products speak for themselves, and we encourage customers to decide for themselves after objective evaluation.

Lastly, doubling the number of Enterprise customers at Motive is not an illusion - It’s already a reality. The segment grew over 100% last year and will double again this year. There is, and will continue to be, a tremendous amount of momentum in the Enterprise and Strategic segments.

Run the other way!  They will promise the world, make your life a living hell by micro-managing every aspect of your work, then likely lay you off with no warning within the first year.  If you're a woman it's even worse.  HR will not support you or intervene if you bring inequity issues to them.
