Outreach is a fantastic product that is continuously evolving with new innovations, however the company has struggled with talent retention for 6+ years which has a downstream impact on customer retention. Exec Leadership is extremely disconnected from the front-line day-to-day and seems to have this assumption that the majority of sellers aren't doing their jobs or aren't working hard enough. This has resulted in constant fire drills for non-revenue generating activities, micro-managing, and ultimately pushing sellers to their limits to be left with no choice but to find a better place to work. Customers are then introduced to new points of contact every 4-6 months, projects fall off, or customers get tired of starting over with a new rep and look to find alternatives that will bring more consistency or just a better customer experience. No new leadership has come in to nip this long-term issue in the bud, and rather focus on the short-term revenue wins they can try to get until they seek their next opportunity. If Outreach aims to win the market and make it to the next level, it starts with investing in their workforce and providing a culture that makes employees excited to work here.
