Very hard to be promoted despite their constant encouragement that you can move up. They'll tell you 12 months, you're not even allowed to interview until 12 months, then they will tell you 15-18 months, and next thing you know its 24 months. Hiring managers don't care to promote within, would rather go external for experience.
