Current Employee I was very happy at Salesforce until this fiscal year when they changed our comp plan. AEs are now financially responsible for any license attrition across our patch. This means, if a customer does not renew or they drop licenses, that value is a negative on your quota attainment and commissions. You will not get any commission, on any sale until you sell out of that hole. If you inherit an account that has an upcoming attrition, it's on you to try and get them to keep those licenses or else you are on the hook financially. Needless to say, many are thinking of leaving as you can not make money with this new plan. Such a shame, as SF was in my opinion a well run business. This shows such a lack of understanding regarding what motivates sales people and how to incentivize staff - who already work their butts off to deliver. Not to mention, those impacted just took a 50% pay cut. Rude. Browse Other Reviews
