Former Employee This org, depending on vertical, is completely politics. You can have awful managers who will do anything to get ahead. As an IC you are just a pawn. It can be other managers, who you do not even report into, that get you fired. Even though the org will fly you into an office, multiple times on separate occasions, you can still last longer at a series A startup than you can here. Even if you are hitting your quota you can be put on PiP which genuinely makes no sense. You can come in early, stay late, it does not matter..you can still be put on PIP. Your entire experience comes down to your manager and the manager's you support. When you get tossed out, HR is not involved, you will be met with smiling faces and be offered the pip or severance. Always take the severance. Even if you pass the pip they can keep you on the pip forever if desired. Additionally when you fail the pip, you will never ever be hired again.
