Shopify has an incredible product. Shopify has a great story, and it's fun to sell the product. Shopify has a healthy distrust of Sales as a function Shopify does not talk about, celebrate, or enjoy paying big commission checks. Shopify messed up quotas this year. The company grows revenue 40% yoy, but everyone in sales misses their number because the expectation was that the company would double revenue. Shopify is constantly changing things, creating toil, and reshuffling the deck throughout the year. Shopify sets up the selling rules to make it difficult to close deals, and will oftentimes adjust the value of closed deals - weeks, and in some cases, months - after closure. - even if the customer signs the contract, and the company is making money. Shopify pays commissions very slowly, and you will not get your full commission amount until 30 days after the end of the year.

Great place to work- love the company and culture. The business really invests in its people. There are some teething issues with sales teams/over hiring etc. Can be quite a chaotic place to work overall.

My overall feedback is that this company is feast or famine. It's difficult for reps to hit target, but those that do are able to make quite a bit over their OTE. Sales leadership is amateur in many of the segments and really don't do much to help their reps sell. There's better opportunitites out there
