Overall I’ve enjoyed my time at SmartBear, but don’t see a positive outlook here moving forward. The hybrid work schedule is pretty flexible (manager and success dependent). Success is very product based- some products thriving in the market while some are completely dead in the water. Culture has struggled as most reps feel like they’re underpaid, and there’s a lack of overall won deals. My base and commission has slowly moved up in $5K increments now totaling $120K OTE but we’re extremely underpaid considering other Boston software sales orgs.

Great place to start your career in SaaS and they do offer extensive training. However, pay is insulting and way below industry standard.
