I left after almost 4 years. After the Cisco purchase I felt that things were going sideways in the sales world of Splunk and the overall market fit was not where it was in prior years

Great product and market fit - although a very competitive market. Good culture and leadership. Compensation plan is on the decline and with Cisco now acquiring Splunk it is unlikely to improve.

Great product and GTM strategy. Recent acquisition and last years shake up of territories was a poor decision made it difficult to sell and gain traction with customers. Too much middle management and moving targets with enough to do with selling and quoting then to add to planning and constant SFDC updates. Management way out of touch with staff and what is needed.Read More

Terrible. I'm glad to have left. The money was amazing but once a couple of big renewal and uplifts were out of the way, there was nothing. No leads, no opps. Splunk would have been a great place to work 7 years ago. The culture is terrible. Middle management are a waste of space and money drives bad behaviours. Stay well clear.
