In Feb of '23 there was a reorg for Commercial (Midmarket). AEs were separated into either "growth" or "named" which were greenfield or existing accounts. The Growth teams were really struggling. Introduced capped commission for BDRs with the maximum you can earn being 25% over your OTE. Regardless of this it’s a fantastic company, with a great culture and a great product market fit. Since the acquisition it seems as if Splunk is now at the heart of Cisco with constant product innovation, especially in Observability.
