Current Employee Stripe is a logo companies will just use because it is a big brand. While OTE is sexy, they have VERY complicated plans (by design) and make it very hard to actually hit your number.
Stripe also does a LOT of things around "payments" so know one really knows everything there. Your happiness/success is totally dependent on your manager. Mine was very political and made me hate the job - others fared better.
Company has a big ego - they think they are the best at everything and that no one has a better approach. I find that opinion a fallacy (impossible to be best at everything); so you need to educate yourself.
Stripe training is very skewed and unrealistic... it all comes down to why they are the best (not why certain customers make sense for their services and why others are NOT a good fit).
Big money to be made, but extremely political environment. I also found it to be soulless... Employees there just seem stuck with golden handcuffs (if you survive).
