Former Employee Zendesk used to be a great company, but ever since the acquisition by Private Equity, the culture and vision have gone down the drain.
The pay is below market rate, and a large number of AEs fail to achieve (or come close to) quota.
Leadership is not transparent and (micro)manages by fear. Very many AEs are on Coaching Plans or PIPs.
Zendesk's competitors are catching up with feature parity at lower prices. Many customers are happy with the Zendesk products they have and are not very open to upgrading if it will cost them money.
