Zillow offers name recognition and exposure to a well known brand, but the sales organization faces significant challenges. Management frequently implements structural and process changes, many of which seem to lack a clear strategy or alignment with what helps sales teams succeed. These shifts can make it difficult for representatives to stay focused and maintain momentum. Feedback from sales teams doesn’t always appear to be incorporated into decision-making, which can create frustration and disconnect between leadership and the front line. The assigned book of business is often disorganized, with many accounts that are not well-qualified or have limited potential. In some cases clients express dissatisfaction with Zillow’s services which makes selling more difficult. This role involves a high volume of cold outreach, often 70+ calls per day, and feels less like a traditional consultative sales position and more like outbound prospecting. Those who thrive here tend to be highly resilient, adaptable to change, and comfortable with a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
